Fookem and Bug ask we print letters and mail them to filmmaker David Risotto. He is working with avid Cincinnati Reds Baseball fan, Steve Sandy, to create a documentary on the life and achievements of William Ellsworth “Dummy” Hoy, the first deaf baseball player in history.
I like what the blog says… that it’s not about the fact he was deaf, but about Hoy playing baseball at a time when citizens ignored deaf people. Read more about the project, writing letters, and Hoy’s achivements.
It only takes a minute to print the letter and sign it.

As a leading researcher on Dummy Hoy, keep in mind, this isn’t just for self glory. Everything I do is to gain awareness mainly on Dummy Hoy. Am “speaking” (signing) for Dummy Hoy which his living family couldn’t do. The family of Dummy Hoy has given us a blessing in doing this job. I want nothing in return other than having Dummy Hoy induct into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Correct, its not just his deafness but his amazing skills, athletic prowse, keen sight, and the best of all, a well around respectable gentleman among his peers.
Can we do the job? Its a job for all of us not just me, the producer, anyone on this web site. It’s you all! Lets make it happen!
Dummy Hoy would probably be paying the price for the rejection of Jane Fernandes. You took the big prize away from Jane, we can do it to Dummy.
Who the hell are you Richard and what the hell does dummy have to do with Jane Fernandes she is an evil self loathing bitch who use people like you, Richard, to get herself where she is. Seeing nothing but praises of Jane can only mean one thing, you haven’t work with her yet. William Hoy is a proud man who played baseball in racist dominant Baseball culture in early 1900’s. Praises goes to those who are trying to help William Hoy get into the Hall of Fame.
