Banjo’s World has a great discussion about captions in the comments. I shared my first experience with captions in an old, old entry. What’s cool is that last line has come true. Music videos are captioned.
I live in Mexico City, and some things are fortunately changing about CC. I remember that in old days, I was only able to enjoy closed caption in TV programs when I was visiting USA. This is not the case for Mexico where none spanish spoken program had cc. Until recently (less than one year), I observed the first morning news program in TV in spanish, with spanish CC. That is great!. I am a big consumer of DVD films which always have english or spanish captions. Thanks God!
