The Dallas Morning News [may require free registration] had a fascinating article about how much technology helps athletes. For instance, Masazumi Soejima won the Boston Marathon in his wheelchair coming in almost 45 minutes ahead of the first one on foot.
What about Tiger Woods receiving LASIK to perfect his vision? He has been winning more golf tourneys since the surgery. Having had LASIK myself, I don’t think there’s a performance difference between contacts and LASIK. Contacts can annoy you at times when it doesn’t feel right.
How can we ensure fairness in sports? That’s a tough question and I’m glad I don’t have to figure that out. I don’t plan on joining kind of olympic or sports committee.

Certainly Tiger Woods could not play if he could not see, but the most anyone can expect from Lasik is vision after surgery equal to vision before surgery with glasses.

i like the site however i am hearing impaired and was online before looking to make new deaf connections with the deaf from israel this is hard to find anyplace here i am trying to make new contacts with them in israel before i make (aliyah) moving and immigrating to israel as new olim by 2008 i was told it would be easier if i make that contacts with the deaf there and there is some sort of contact with them but couldnt figure out how to find them on the internet so i am going to try to sit back and see if someone here at the blogs might have some general idea or a solution to whom to get in touch with oh well i hope it works out okay
